Reaching out to a psychotherapist takes courage.

If you are experiencing a period in your life of struggle, perhaps group-work and courses are not for you.

It is always comforting to know when someone is really listening - with no judgement - helping to unravel the muddled mind in a supportive, confidential space.

Living through a global pandemic has for many brought significant pressure and anxiety.

It is a necessary and healthy part of life to recognise when things are not quite as you would like. The first step is acknowledging you would like some support to understand and move through this difficult time in your life.

  • What are the benefits of Therapy?

Psychotherapy can support you with a wide range of experiences. Perhaps you want to set life goals or establish healthy relationships. You don’t need to be in crisis to get support, psychotherapy can also be used as a preventative.

  • Help with depression

One-to-one counselling can support you with depression and related symptoms. Psychotherapy for depression relies on trust and emotional support. Gloucestershire Mindfulness aims to provide you with a comfortable, trusted and confidential setting to heal. Together, we will examine the causes and solutions to your concerns and build new ways of thinking and reacting.

  • Help with anxiety

Do you find yourself on the edge more often than not? Expecting bad things to happen? Consistently struggling with your emotions?Psychotherapy can provide a helpful context for your emotions by identifying the underlying causes. Rather than allowing the fear to hinder you, we will work together to understand your emotions, practice acceptance, and make real progress toward your goals.

  • Help with anger

Ongoing anger and stress are contributors to high blood pressure and a number of other health-related issues. A study in 2006 found that psychotherapy produced the same level of blood pressure reductions as anti-hypertension medication. Gloucestershire Mindfulness can help you unpack, recognise and avoid various triggers. We can work together to provide ways to help you manage the inevitable anger that sometimes arises.

  • Help with relationships

Not only can psychotherapy support you to improve the relationship you have with yourself, it can also focus on helping you open lines of communication with others. You may wish to use Psychotherapy as an opportunity to gain perspective on relationship challenges that arise.

  • Trauma resolution

  • Physical Wellness

  • Increased assertiveness

  • Ability to set boundaries

  • Greater self-confidence
