Clinical Supervision for Students and Professionals

We can provide clinical supervision for students and professionals in many fields.

Mindfulness-based teaching is a rapidly emerging field where appropriate codes and governance for professional practice should be followed.

Gloucestershire Mindfulness can support you with access to a qualified Mindfulness teacher who:

  • Has received the appropriate training.

  • Continues to maintain professionalism through good practice engagement.

  • We are able to provide clinical supervision for students and professionals in fields of work such as support work, voluntary work, counselling/psychotherapy and Mindfulness.

  • The cost of supervision is on a sliding scale, dependant on duration, amount of attendees and level of supervision required in accordance with your professional organisational body, such as MBI: TAC or BACP.

    Guideline £65.00

  • Lynsey Wellington is a Qualified Supervisor of Counselling and CBT and an MBACP registered member and partakes in Supravision.

Mindfulness Supervisors may have completed training via one of the following Pathways with one of the recognised trainers of Mindfulness.

    1) Academic Route - Masters

    2) Non - Academic Route - Trained Teacher

    3) Non - Academic Route - Practicing Teacher

Supervisors meet the British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches (BAMBA) Good Practice Guidelines for Supervisors and the Framework for Mindfulness-based supervision.

All are deeply experienced Mindfulness-based teachers who have had specific training to develop their skills as supervisors. Many also train others at the leading UK training organisations.

Interested in delivering Mindfulness
as MBI?

After completing the Foundation Certificate, such as the 8-week MBSR, the next stage is gaining a successful application to register on a pathway with one of the recognised providers.

You will receive mentoring sessions for practical support and guidance throughout your journey.

When accessing ongoing training from Gloucestershire Mindfulness, following initial training, you will shadow the 8-week sessions under the guidance of Lynsey and continue to undergo a minimum of 12 months of supervision.

As you progress, you will build a comprehensive portfolio of training events, teaching experience and personal reflection, and deepen your Mindfulness practice.

When both you and your supervisor agree that you are ready, you may be invited to apply for the Mindfulness Teachers Professional Pathway (MTPP) module, which includes submitting a recording of your teaching for assessment. After successful completion, you will then receive your Certification of Competency.
