This introductory Mindfulness course is designed to help you, as a learner, to understand the focus of Mindfulness prior to the popular 8 week programme. You will learn how to resource your health and well-being and overcome stress, worry and overwhelm in your busy life through a step by step process that is underpinned by Jon Kabat-Zinn's Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction programme
You may wish to rediscover a sense of balance and purpose, by learning how to bring 'mindfulness' into your daily routine. This course is delivered in small groups, to provide a 'container of safety' in which learners can gain confidence and develop skills to progress onto the next course - Finding Peace in a Frantic World, The Art of Less Stress or The Journey of Mindfulness.
All courses pay attention to the effects of trauma that vulnerable learners may be or have experienced. This underlying practice is known as a trauma-sensitive approach. All participants must understand this is a training/learning environment, not therapy.
