  • Offering this progression 8-week course to learners who have, hopefully, completed the ‘Calming the Mind’ course and want to continue learning new life skills having understood the concept of Mindfulness.

    If you have some previous experience of Mindfulness training, please apply for this course.

    This programme, developed by the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, comes highly recommended by our learners as the next stage of nurturing health and wellbeing.

    Each week a new and continuous theme is introduced, which builds on previous learning, enabling a deeper understanding of what choices are available in life.

    This is a certificated course if eight weeks are completed.

    This course covers the following themes over 8 weeks:

    1) Waking up to Autopilot

    2) Keeping the Body in Mind

    3) The Muse in the Maze

    4) Moving beyond the Rumour Mill

    5) Turning Towards Difficulties

    6) Trapped in the Past?

    7) When did you stop dancing?

    8) Your Wild and Precious Life

    *Weekly worksheets and recorded meditations are provided.

    • Greater awareness: you will begin to notice how often you are lost in your thoughts and feelings.

    • Mindfulness of the body and breathing: the course will support you recognise your thoughts, emotions, and sensations with kindness and compassion

    • Appreciation to the here and now: you will be supported to identify auto-pilot tendencies thus, living life more fully.

    • Balance: the course aims to cultivate the skills required to appreciate and acknowledge life’s ups, and recognise and respond kindly to life’s challenges.
